Arizona Golf Association Announces Rebrand to AZ GOLF

AZ GOLF Introduces New Logo, Colors, and Brand Narrative

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. – For over a century, the Arizona Golf Association (AGA), has served many features and functions of the game across the state of Arizona. Today, AZ GOLF is excited to announce a rebrand initiative, aimed at setting the direction of the Association for years to come. “This rebrand is a reflection of our commitment to the ever-changing golf landscape and innovation of play. We will continue to work to make golf more approachable and draw connections to new ways to enjoy a game that's proven to grow and create new community for the state of Arizona”, says Tim Brown, President and Chair of the Executive Committee for the Arizona Golf Association.

Currently serving over 100,000 golfers across the state, AZ GOLF has often prided itself on intentionality and willingness to be at the forefront of new golf initiatives. The rebrand seeks to honor the Association’s history, while taking a bold step forward focused to include a broader audience of golfers of all skill and experience levels.

The new look and feel draws homage to our golf landscape, while creating a revitalized appearance that resonates with the greater golf community. Meeting golfers where they are requires us to explore territory outside the country club and sanctioned events. Instead, this rebrand reflects on our relationship with that little white ball and highlights the moments and locations that had the greatest impact on our love for the game.

AZ GOLF is full steam ahead with our plan to roll out the new brand look and feel across all communication facets. Shifts can already be seen across the website, social media, upcoming publications, etc. Over the coming months, the brand shift will also be debuted across all AZ GOLF events and activations.

New brand applications will be driven through the following assets:

LOGO: The new logo aims to be a bold signifier, not only of the AZ Golf brand but of Arizona golf in general - drawing inspiration from a vast collection of what makes golf in our state unique.

COLOR: The Grand Canyon State is known for its bright and beautiful colors, unique to our variation of landscapes. Throughout AZ GOLF’s exploration phase, a number of palettes were considered, but ultimately, we landed on Red Rocks and Obsidian as the primary colors, with light gray, dark gray, and alabaster as the complementary colors.

WHAT’S NEXT: Looking ahead, AZ GOLF is focused on putting our brand narrative to work - acting as a beacon and call to play for all golfers. We hope to continue expanding on opportunities to play by offering a variety of competition - broadening our social media content and collaborations, while putting more emphasis on casual play and recreation.

About AZ GOLF: We exist to connect golfers with the greatest game on this green earth. As the governing body of Arizona golf, we continuously strive to elevate sport and unlock access for all level players - embracing beginners' road to refinement while celebrating competition among champions.
