AZ GOLF Promotes Daniel Shoup to Chief Financial Officer

[PHOENIX, Ariz.] October 30, 2026 — AZ GOLF is pleased to announce the promotion of Daniel Shoup to Chief Financial Officer (CFO), recognizing his contributions to the Association over the past four years and expanding his role in supporting Arizona’s golf community.

As CFO, Daniel oversees AZ GOLF’s financial strategy, budgeting, accounting and financial reporting, while continuing to lead the Association’s human resources and administrative functions. He also plays a key role in organizational planning, risk management and the systems and processes that support AZ GOLF’s operations and long-term success.

“Daniel has become an invaluable part of AZ GOLF’s leadership team, bringing thoughtful perspective, sound judgment and a genuine commitment to the success of the Association,” said Catherine Carmignani, AZ GOLF Executive Director. “His contributions extend well beyond financial management, and this promotion recognizes the important role he already plays in helping guide our organization. As AZ GOLF continues to grow and evolve, we are fortunate to have his leadership helping shape our future.”

Since joining AZ GOLF as the Head of Finance and Administration, Shoup has worked to improve internal processes, increase financial transparency and equip staff with the information and resources needed to make informed decisions and better serve the Association's membership.

Beyond his day-to-day responsibilities, Shoup played an instrumental role in AZ GOLF's move to Arizona Golf House, a shared home for organizations across Arizona's golf industry designed to encourage greater collaboration.

Shoup was also a key contributor to the relaunch of the AZ GOLF Foundation, helping establish the financial and operational framework for its next chapter. He will remain an important partner in advancing the Association's philanthropic efforts and creating more opportunities for people to access and experience the game of golf.

“As AZ GOLF continues to grow, strong financial stewardship and thoughtful planning are more important than ever,” said John Souza, AZ GOLF Executive Committee President. “Daniel has played an instrumental role in strengthening our financial foundation and positioning the Association for continued success. The Executive Committee has tremendous confidence in his leadership, and this promotion reflects both his contributions to date and the important role he will continue to play in AZ GOLF’s future.”
