SEDONA, ARIZ. – Chase Gorder and Kate Connolly (-22 over two rounds) delivered stellar performances in the 2024 Mixed Stix, firing rounds of 62 and 60 to secure a decisive, six-stroke victory at Oakcreek Country Club.
Despite starting the day one stroke out of the lead, Gorder and Connolly quickly seized control with a hot start, carding birdies on four of the first five holes. The momentum swung definitively in their favor during the front nine's final stretch; they took the lead when Gorder, an incoming freshman at Boise State, drained a 30-foot birdie putt. Connolly, a rising sophomore at Drake University, topped Gorder’s putt when she holed out for eagle on the fairway on the next hole.
